Round 1
South Leinster RLFC conceded their match with Dublin City Exiles 2nd XIII and Cork Bulls v Banbridge Broncos was postponed to be replayed during “Magic Weekend” for double points. [References: 1-2]
Round 2
Dublin City Exiles 2nd XIII defeated Cork Bulls 70-20. The games involving South Leinster RLFC were scratched from the schedule. [References: 3-4]
Round 3
Banbridge Broncos triumphed 70-6 over the previously undefeated Dublin City Exiles 2nd XIII. [References: 5-6]
Round 4 – Magic Weekend (2 July 2022)
Banbridge Broncos triumphed again, winning 50-22 versus Cork Bulls at Tullamore RFC during the “Magic Weekend”. The victory left Banbridge undefeated at the top of the Men’s Championship. [References: 7-8]
ABOUT RLI MEN’S Championship 2022
The Rugby League Ireland Men’s Championship is the second level Rugby League division in Ireland, featuring four teams for 2022: Banbridge Broncos, Cork Bulls,Dublin City Exiles 2nd XIII and South Leinster RLFC. Rugby League is 13-a-side compared to 15-a-side in Rugby Union and also does not utlilise Lineouts or Scrums.
